Stavo · deleting your account
Delete your account
You can delete your Stavo account yourself, in the app or on the website, or ask us to do it by email. Either way it is your account and the information held with it, and it is gone from the live service at once.
In the app or on the website
- Sign in and open Settings (the cog).
- Choose Delete my account.
- Enter your password. If you run jobs as a builder or developer, type your email address as well, to confirm that every job on your record goes with the account.
The account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on every device.
By email
Write to [email protected] from the email address the account uses, with the subject Delete my Stavo account. We reply to that address to confirm it is you, then delete the account within 30 days. You do not need the app installed.
Email a deletion requestWhat is deleted
- Your account: name, email address, password, sign-in sessions, profile and preferences.
- If you are a builder or developer: your record, meaning every job you run, with its photographs, files, messages, inspection stages, quotations, variations and payment requests, for everyone on those jobs.
- If you are a client, Building Control officer, SAP assessor or warranty inspector: your seat on each job. The job's record belongs to the builder who runs it and stays with them.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups are overwritten within 90 days of deletion.
- The access log, which records who signed in and who opened which job, is kept for 12 months from each entry and then deleted. It holds your email address and IP address, nothing from the jobs.
- Where a sign-off, acceptance or signature you made is part of another person's record, that entry stays on their record with your name against it, because it is their evidence of what was agreed. Everything else about you goes.
Before deleting, a builder can export each job's evidence packs and reports from the app, and each home's handover pack.
